About VNET
The Vidya Niketan Education Trust (VNET) was founded on 18 September 1997 by the Late Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde, which is now the umbrella institution for Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School and Junior College and Kalpana Chawla Space Academy. It has a robust governance structure to facilitate seamless execution. The Trust was initially started with the vision and intent to serve the community of the Lonavala region of Maharashtra to provide quality education. Governance Structure
Our Governance structure, guided by our values, is central to our governing modus operandi. Our guiding values show us the path during turbulent times and times of comfort. The board of trustees protects and enhances the brand equity of institutions administered under the trust.
The governing body is empowered and responsible for uplifting academic standards, improving infrastructure, implementing innovative programs, and ensuring the pursuit of excellence is fused into the everyday functioning of our processes, programs, and institutions. The heads of institutions report to the Governing Board and run the administration through various committees and develop sustainable practices.
Our Partnerships
Our partners play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of our school and easing access to quality education for students. Through strategic partnerships with government, scientific institutions, businesses, non-profit organizations, schools and local communities, we can access resources that would otherwise be unavailable.
Partnerships also enable us to offer professional development opportunities for teachers, enhancing the overall quality of education. The involvement of donors and partners fosters a sense of community, where everyone is invested in the success of students. Ultimately, these collaborations contribute to creating a well-rounded, resource-rich learning environment that benefits all stakeholders involved.
