About ABBHS&JC

The school was established in June 1996 by Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde with the purpose of serving the people of Lonavala, Maharashtra. Then named Saraswati Vidya Mandir had eight students during its inception on its muster role, administered from the auspicious Ram temple campus in Lonavala. Later, Vidya Niketan Education Trust (VNET) was established on 18 September 1997 and the school was formally brought under the trust. After the sad demise of Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde, the reins were passed on to his younger brother and the current Chairman of the trust Adv. Madhav Bhonde. The school’s name was adopted as Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School in honor of its founder. A new campus was built, and the school was moved to the present campus on the auspicious day of Guru Poornima on 11 July 2006. Today, there stands an impressive and elegant school building. Under the stewardship of Mr. Madhav Bhonde and Mrs. Radhika Bhonde, the school is setting new standards of excellence and has grown to 2000+ students employing 100+ teaching and non-teaching staff members devoted to the cause of academic excellence. We have also started Junior college for Science, Arts and Commerce streams from the academic year 2024-25. Our commitment to excellence inspired us to provide students with coaching for competitive exams, career counselling and vocational training (soon to be launched). Today, technology pervades our institutional processes. We are about to conclude the implementation of a school CRM platform to get all the stakeholders on a common platform. Our horizons are far placed, our vision has expanded, and our dreams know no bounds. We are rearing to go and resolute to set new goals, aims and direction.
