The Vidya Niketan Education Trust (VNET) was founded on 18 September 1997 by the Late Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde which is now the umbrella institution for Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School and Junior College and Kalpana Chawla Space Academy and has a robust governance structure to facilitate seamless execution. The Trust was initially started with a vision and intent to serve the community of Lonavala region of Maharashtra to provide quality education. As the future unfolds, we have broadened our vision to remain relevant, exploratory and futuristic in our approach to institutional development.

गुरुपौर्णिमा उत्सव – सेकंडरी विभाग
११ जुलै २०२५ रोजी ॲड. बापूसाहेब भोंडे विद्यालयात गुरुपौर्णिमा उत्साहात साजरी करण्यात आली. विद्यार्थ्यांनी नृत्य, श्लोक, कविता, नाटिका आणि गाण्यांद्वारे गुरुजनांप्रती आपली कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रमुख पाहुणे आदरणीय बालाजी जाधव सर यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना जिज्ञासू वृत्ती जोपासण्याचे व शिक्षकांनी सर्जनशील अध्यापन व तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करण्याचे मार्गदर्शन केले. कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन सौ. भाग्यश्री पाटील तर आभार प्रदर्शन सौ. नूतन घाणेकर यांनी केले.
Eye Checkup
An eye checkup camp was held in Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School, Bhangarwadi Lonavala, Maharashtra. Dated 7/7/25 to 9/7/25.The SVAC Eye Care Center provided free eye checkups and related services to our students from std I to X . The camp, was organized by Dr. Abasaheb Gadade, Shri VishvalabhAyurvedic Centre under the guidance of Dr Shruthi Gaikwad, Ashpak Shaikh, Suresh Sharma. The camp offered comprehensive eye screenings, including vision testing, refraction for spectacle prescription, and diagnosis of various eye conditions. Patients identified with specific eye problems, were referred to their Eye Care Center for further treatment .The camp also included an awareness component, educating attendees about eye health, hygiene, and the importance of eye check up regularly.
International Yoga Day Celebration
International Yoga Day Celebration – 21st June 2025 Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Adv. Sanjay Gaikwad (Chief Guest), Secretary Radhika Madam, Principal Madhavi Madam, and enthusiastic students. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of Yoga, Meditation, and a Healthy Diet. Program Highlights: Yoga Asana demonstrations – Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, Vakrasana, Setu Bandhasana Rhythmic Yoga Meditation by PT Teacher Tr. Arti P. Karkera Surya Namaskar The event was a grand success under the guidance of the Principal Sir and Vice Principal Madam.
